Woah.. two whole days in a row of blogs... I smell a trend.. ha! We'll see.
So, I am dying in the frozen tundra! I know I know, its Tennessee and in comparison it doesn't get THAT cold but its definitely too cold for me! I don't remember being this miserably cold last year. Its sooo dry! It would be one thing if there was snow, even like a few days of it. But there's just nothing but dry cold frigid air that cuts straight to the bone! Last week sometime I watched a yoga video that was done on the beach and I could literally feel myself there. Just thinking back to living in Fl and waking up to the warm moist salty breeze has put me in full beach mode. I wake up every morning disappointed that I'm not at the beach. I am a eager little beaver and ready to be warm!
I've been thinking and have decided I will settle for an early spring. How about some Buttercups and tulips? Maybe an Iris here or there?? The warm breeze with 50-60 degree days and 40-50 degree nights?? Sound fab. to me! So I'll post a few of my favorite Springtime things, in hopes it will encourage Mother Nature to cut us some slack on the frigidness!!!
#1 So First of all, I LOVE that last snow that seems to wash winter's ugliness away. Its usually at the middle to end of March and just after the snow melts Spring starts to "spring" up! :)

#2 I Love the Easter bunny :)
#3 I am such a nerd, but I absolutely love Birdwatching! I could sit and stare at them out on the feeders all day long!! I think I get it from my Grandaddy and Grandmommy, they did the same thing, but much more professional looking :) Spring brings their bright colors back and for some, it brings them back up here to visit my yard once more!
#4 Spring often symbolizes new beginnings, new growth, be it in yourself, in relationships, or from the earth. Its a time for planting seeds and watching them grow. They don't call it "Spring Fever" for nothin! ;) I Love spring flowers! These were ones I grew on the balcony of our first apartment in North Carolina. Gerbera Daisies, Daffodils (or as we call them in the south, Buttercups), and Gardenias. Buttercups have been my favorite flowers since I was a little girl! I used to go to my Grandparents house and pick them because they grew like crazy over there.
#5 I LOVE the beach in Spring! Its soooo nice right around February and March, Just perfect for laying on the beach. A nice bright sunny day out there with temperatures in the 70's and sometimes 80's but with a nice cool breeze, pure heaven!! And at night riding around in the car with heat on your feet but all the windows down just smelling all the Gardenias blooming and filling the air with sweet aromas... I can feel it now. I used to do that a lot when I lived there.
So there it is, Mother Nature. Do you think you could give me a small break?? Bring some warm breezes blowing my way?? Pop up a few of my pretty flowers? Well, until then, I'll just try to endure the bitter cold bite of winter. We're supposed to get a couple inches of snow this weekend so maybe we'll get out and play in it, red noses and all! ;)
