Day 3 Blog challenge.. parents!

I have always has a good relationship with my parents. Both of them! Even though they may not have loved each other, they sure loved my brother and me. Its hard to relate to those books on repairing the damage that bad parental relationships have. Like to me, the book Captivating, was all about fixing "daddy problems".. well I don't have any! My Dad treated me like a princess and because of that he taught me to expect nothing less from the boys/ men in my life. And then there are the books talking about fixing issues sprung from a poor motherly influence.. I don't fit in there either! My mom has always been a strong influence on me and I find myself just like her most of the time. Sometimes it gets me in trouble being a little too hard headed but most of the time, it helps me to keep my values and stick to what I know is right!
Even better than my relationship with my parents is their new identities as grandparents!! I absolutely LOVE seeing them interact with my girls! :) I have no doubt my sweet girlies know they are loved! How could they doubt it with so many people spoiling them every which way!
You know, I know people with all kinds of relationships with their parents, some who barely talk, some who are really like best friends, some who still fear their parents, some who can;t stand their parents.. its so interesting to me! I wonder what kind of relationship I'll have with my kids as they get older.
