Let me start backwards and take you through the last couple weeks in our household and surrounding areas.
First of all, we found out on Monday that we are having ANOTHER baby!! YAY! :) Its a really funny story actually. Last week for most of the week i was feeling like and almost positive that I was pregnant. (Tender boobs, spotting but no period... sorry if that's too graphic :oP) Thursday I went to the grocery store to get food and I saw they had generic tests on sale, so I picked one up. I didn't tell Eric that I thought or was feeling preggo. I hid the test in my purse, so it would be a surprise. Well, when I got home and we started putting away the food and cooking dinner, Eric turns to me and says, "Now I have something to talk to you about that I want you to seriously consider. Don't take it personally or anything, its just a thought and i just want to talk about it... What would you think about waiting to have another baby until we're out of the military (still 2 years away) or until we're financially free." I thought "hmmm.. that's interesting... uh oh" So I said " I'll have to think about that. I definitely want more kids" and then i just started talking about random things trying to respond in a way that he wouldn't catch on. It was really hard to hide my smile and not chuckle to myself. :) So i decided to test Friday morning, (that way he wouldn't start planning out conversations to have with me to convince me that waiting was a good idea) I got up early while Eric was getting ready for work and took the test in the guest bathroom. I was on pins and needles waiting for that line... I watched it like it was a car accident in slow motion. The lines started to show, it was a plus in one window and a line in the other. I looked at the directions and it was a big fat POSITIVE. I was SOOOOO excited, jumping up and down (lightly of course since C was in the next room asleep). The next thing I had to figure out was how to get the test in Eric's sight with out him seeing me. When I came out of the bathroom he was standing at the back doors watching the dogs outside so i snuck it into our bathroom and set the test on top of my cell phone. Next i crept into the kitchen and started making breakfast and when he came in I asked if he would bring me my phone from the bathroom. While I was waiting I got so nervous trying to guess what his reaction would be, my legs were shaking and i felt weak like i was going to fall over. He came into the kitchen with a HUGE smile on his face and said, "Really?! Seriously?? No Way!! That was fast!!" haha It was exciting, I teared up and we hugged and kissed and talked all morning about it. So That's been our excitement as of the last few days.
A couple of weeks ago we took our first family hike! It was SOOO fun!! :) I think Eric really wants me to be more out-doorsy than what I really am, so he took me to REI to get some hiking shoes (mostly bc he wanted new shoes that were pretty steep in price so he thought if he got me some new shoes too it would be ok) ;) Anyway I picked the Chaco's only bc the Keens that i really wanted were sold out in my size.. bummer! (I'm taking the Chaco's back btw and swapping them out for the Keens) We got up Monday morning and took off down to Radnor Lake in the Nashville/Brentwood area. It was the perfect day! Charlotte had a blast getting to explore nature and experience all the new sounds and bugs and things. She was so cute! Our next adventure will hopefully be Land Between the Lakes. I haven't been there since first grade i think. That's where I caught my first fish, they put it in a ziplock bag for me to take home.. by the time I got home.. it was very smelly and UGLY! Let me warn you... do not try to keep a dead fish in a ziplock bag to show your parents.. not a good idea McGavock Elm.!! Anyway, it should be fun.
Last weekend, we went down to Atlanta with my neighbor for an Artistry clinic. Artistry is the brand of skin care and cosmetics that I'm affiliated with. My neighbor Angie grew up outside of Atlanta so we went down and stayed with her family. They were a BLAST!! :) Friday night we got in late, it was about a 6 hr drive turned 8 hr drive because of the two little ones. They were very cute but a handful! Eric, Charlotte and I slept in their RV in the back yard... it was like our own little apartment in the back yard. It really felt like camping. They don't have a hook up for the plumbing so no working toilet or running water but we were steps away from the house. Saturday morning we got up and had a great breakfast and got ready to go to the clinic. We left late and didn't have directions... when we finally found the address and got the directions, we figured out that we were another 30 minutes away than we originally thought so we were going to be extra late. We finally got there and got into the hotel where it was held, no one was at the desk to direct us where to go. A lady walked in and asked if we were there for the clinic and then showed us where to go. It was in the basement of the building.. unmarked. We walked in and thinking we were late, we were surprised that they were still setting up and no one else was there. It actually started an hour later than what we thought (yessssss) but then the lady asked where our tickets were... I said "Huh? I didn't know we were supposed to have tickets, I bought them online and was not aware of anything to print out." She then proceeded to tell me that if we didn't find a way to get a ticket we'd have to pay again... Grrrrr! So I quietly freaked out and called E, asked for help and within minutes he fixed it! :) My hero!! :) We got our tickets and took our seats for the clinic! It was a great tool for information. Angie won a door prize and said she'd help me plan a party.. *~expect invitations soon~* ;). After the clinic we went to the North Point Mall and went straight to the American Girl Store! YAY!!! It was so cool! I couldn't spend a lot since I had finished C's birthday shopping already. I got her matching pj's to her Bitty baby :) So cute!!! We made it back to the house just in time for a fantastic dinner of salad, fried green tomatoes **YUMMMO** and tasty spaghetti. with a desert of a surprise birthday cake for C's upcoming bday! I was totally blown away! They planned a party to celebrate with her because Angie, her hubby and their son Riley will be out of town over her actual birthday. It was so sweet! They had cake and ice cream and they got so many presents! All kinds of cute little things! I think the Purse and the Nemo were the biggest hits. :) So cute! That night we went to bed just elated after such a fun day! Sunday when we got up it was time to pack up and head out. We took a detour to Amicolola Falls, it was beautiful!! I'll post pictures! :) We had a good ride home and it was such a great end to a GREAT trip! :)
So now that I've taken you through my last couple weeks in a backwards, mixed up way, here are some pictures!! :)
