Well, day 15 is about the person I miss the most... obviously it would have to be my husband. Thousands of miles away and all i want is to snuggle up with him at night! But alas, I have blogged about him before.. so I'll move on to 3 girls that I miss and what a coincidence.. their names are ALL Nicki (or Nikki, or Nickie) haha. Its like they all got together and decided that each of them would enter my life at different times, make me love them, and then they each moved states away!!
trip down memory lane hehe Nicki C and I a looong time ago! |
My first case of the Nicki's is from miss Nicki C. :) She was one of my high school buds! I remember senior English and all we could do was goof off and sing john mayer songs and make up silly words to go together.. (ie Sunscreen & Panties.. Boxer briefs and broccoli) :) I remember one day close to the end of the school year when we some how got out of class together and decided that it was a good idea to "run through the halls of our high school and scream at the top of our lungs" Although I'm not sure we implemented the screaming part ;) Either way it was hilarious! We moved from high school buds to long distance college friends and when I moved home we hung out a bunch again. Then shortly after I got married, she decided it was a good idea to move to La! Not cool.. anyway, now that I live back in the home state (TN) and we both have sweet little girls, I miss her like crazy and desperately want her to move back here too!! So Miss Nicki.. get on that would ya! ;)
Nikki and I in our apt. being silly! |
My next case of the Nikki's came from my college roommate. Oh man... I know I've already blogged about this girl, so all I will say is that she is coming to visit me from California in less than a week! Woop Woop!!! And I'm SUPER excited!!!! :D I was informed by her hubby that my job is to convince her to have another baby :) hehe... I'm on it Al!!
haha Nickie and her hubby, when we went to Opryland to take Christmas pictures :) |
My last case of the Nickie's (certainly not the least though!) comes from my Nickie T. We met when Eric was stationed in NC, her hubs is in the air force, and they were stationed at the same base. The church we went to there had lots of small groups and we met in a group titled "Young Married Couples Without Kids!" haha it fit at that stage in our lives but within the group we kind of formed a few different groups and moved out of the bigger setting and started to hang out on our own. Nickie and her hubby and 2 other couples and E and I hung out a LOT while we lived there. When we moved back here, we were glad to be here but sad to leave our friends behind. We stayed in touch with Nickie and her fam though and when their time came to get out of the military we invited them to live with us for a bit until they got on their feet and figured something out.. (really it was my ploy to try and get them to live in the area forever with us, because when I get a case of the Nickie's, I get it baaaad) ;) So Nickie, her hubby, and their twin boys (7 months at the time) and their dog, Emily, moved into our tiny little house for a while, and when things didn't go as planned for them they moved away.. all the way up to Michigan and made me miss them terribly! While they lived with us Nickie worked at a coffee shop and learned to make some YUMMO treats! I miss her bubbly happiness and the way her positive outlook always cheered everyone up! :) And I definitely miss the laughter that their whole family (especially Spencer) brought into our home. I will get to see her in January though and I'm oh soooo excited to meet her new baby girl Holly and hopefully see the boys again!! :) (Bekah, can you make sure you have your baby then too so we can all rub kids together!) hehe
So... Those are my Nicki's (or Nikki's or Nickie's) :) I miss them so! I hope no one else has to suffer so many cases of the Nicki's like me!
